An aircraft, believed to be a paramotor, crashed into a forested area in the İncekum neighborhood of Alanya, Antalya. Following the crash, a fire broke out, and emergency teams including AFAD, gendarmerie, and firefighting units were promptly dispatched to the scene. The Antalya 112 Emergency Call Center received the alert around 9:00 a.m., and teams were reported to be en route to the crash site.
Wreckage Cleared, Fire Brought Under Control
The wreckage of the aircraft was removed after the explosion, and the fire in the area was quickly brought under control by emergency teams. Further investigations are expected to follow the cooling operations. Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Tarık Hekimoğlu and District Gendarmerie Commander Major Hüseyin Direk also arrived at the scene to personally oversee the operations.
Eyewitnesses: “The Explosion Was Large and Intense”
Ahmet Ali Doğan, the head of İncekum neighborhood and an eyewitness, stated that the explosion was enormous and felt from kilometers away. “We saw a thick smoke rising after the explosion, and we rushed to help extinguish the fire with the villagers,” Doğan said. He added that the aircraft had crashed into a pine tree and that its parts resembled an old model motor.
