Malta, one of Europe’s key tourist destinations, has joined the network of direct flights to Istanbul. Air Malta, the country’s flag carrier, has officially started its scheduled flights to Istanbul Airport as of today. With reciprocal flights operating three times a week, the route is expected to boost both tourism and commercial ties between the two countries.
Comfortable Travel with Airbus A320 Neo
According to a statement from İGA Istanbul Airport Operations, Air Malta flights will be operated regularly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between Malta International Airport in the capital Valletta and Istanbul.
The flights will be served by Airbus A320 Neo aircraft with a seating capacity of 180 passengers. The aircraft feature a dual-cabin configuration, including both business and economy classes. The number of business class seats is determined flexibly based on demand for each flight.
Code Sharing with Turkish Airlines: Easy Access to Multiple Destinations with a Single Ticket
Thanks to the code-sharing agreement signed between Air Malta and Turkish Airlines (THY), passengers can travel not only between Malta and Istanbul but also to various connecting destinations within THY’s extensive flight network.
Under this agreement, passengers can plan their entire journey with a single ticket and have their baggage transferred directly to their final destination. This makes for a faster, more comfortable, and seamless travel experience.
