Turkish Airlines (THY) applied a meaningful and historic livery to the 500th aircraft added to its fleet. The fuselage of the Airbus A350 aircraft with registration TC-LHH, which was delivered from European aircraft manufacturer Airbus’ facilities in Toulouse, France, to Atatürk Airport, was covered with photographs of all employees through a special project carried out in a THY hangar.
Prepared under the “TK Family” theme, the special livery serves as a tribute to all employees who have served throughout Turkish Airlines’ more than 90-year corporate history. The project strongly reflects THY’s people-oriented corporate culture and sense of belonging.
THY Chairman of the Board Ahmet Bolat had previously expressed his vision for the 500th aircraft with the following words:
“God willing, we will dress our 500th aircraft with photographs of all our colleagues who have served throughout our more than 90-year history.”
With this special application, Turkish Airlines not only surpassed a significant milestone in terms of fleet size, but also concretely demonstrated its approach of placing its employees at the centre of its brand.

Milestones in THY’s Fleet History:
- 100th Aircraft: Boeing 737-800 (TC-JGU) – 2006
- 200th Aircraft: Boeing 737-900ER (TC-JYI) – 2012
- 300th Aircraft: Airbus A330-300 (TC-LNC) – 2016
- 400th Aircraft: Airbus A350-900 (TC-LGH) – 2023
- 500th Aircraft: Airbus A350-900 (TC-LHH) – 2026
The 500th aircraft was recorded as an important milestone symbolising Turkish Airlines’ scale in global aviation and its vision of sustainable growth.
