The 42nd General Assembly of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), of which our country is a founding member, was held on July 9-10, 2024, at the EU Parliament building in Strasbourg.
The General Assembly commenced with opening speeches from the ECAC President, ICAO Council President, and the Director General of DG MOVE of the European Commission. Civil Aviation General Directors from 44 member states in the European region and senior representatives of international organizations also attended the meeting.
Elections Held for the New Term
ECAC’s recent activities were reviewed, a three-year work program and budget were adopted. The General Director of DGCA, Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK, was elected as one of ECAC’s three Vice Presidents for the next three-year term, and his membership in the Coordination Committee was extended.

The 42nd General Assembly of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), of which our country is a founding member, was held on July 9-10, 2024, at the EU Parliament building in Strasbourg.
Our delegation, led by our General Director Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK, represented our country at the ECAC General Assembly.
The General Assembly began with opening speeches from the ECAC President, ICAO Council President, and the Director General of DG MOVE of the European Commission. Civil Aviation General Directors from 44 member states in the European region, as well as senior representatives from international organizations such as the European Commission, EUROCONTROL, EASA, JAA TO, ACAO, AFCAC, and LACAC, also participated.
Reports on ECAC’s activities since the previous term were reviewed at the General Assembly, and ECAC’s work program, budget, and decisions for the next three years were adopted. Additionally, elections were held for the ECAC President, Vice Presidents, and Coordination Committee members. Our General Director, Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK, was elected as one of ECAC’s three Vice Presidents for the next three-year term, and his membership in the ECAC Coordination Committee was extended for another three years.
Furthermore, during the two-day meeting, our delegation led by our General Director, Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK, held meetings with ICAO Council President Salvatore Sciacchitano and EUROCONTROL Director General Raul Medina Caballero.
