SunExpress flight XQ-870, a Boeing 737 with 117 passengers on board, encountered a cabin pressure malfunction warning while flying over Warsaw airspace.
The pilot contacted Warsaw Airport’s Air Traffic Control Center to request priority for an emergency landing. Firefighting and medical teams were kept on standby on the apron as a precautionary measure. The plane performed an emergency landing at Warsaw Airport without any issues due to the cabin pressure malfunction.
After landing, the aircraft underwent a technical inspection. SunExpress officials stated that all necessary precautions were taken to ensure passenger safety and that the incident is being thoroughly investigated. No injuries or adverse events occurred.
