According to information provided by personnel of the Syrian Aircraft Observatory, at 14:30 local time, eight Israeli fighter jets entered Syrian airspace via Quneitra in the south of the country. It was noted that after conducting reconnaissance and observation activities over the region for a while, the aircraft then headed toward Damascus, Homs, Hama, and the coastal line.
So far, no reports of an attack have been issued, and neither Syrian nor Israeli authorities have made any official statements regarding the development.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yisrael Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, and Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir visited the buffer zone in Syria under Israel’s control on 19 November following the downfall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.
“More Than 1,000 Airstrikes” Statement
Syrian President Ahmed Shara stated on 8 December 2024 that since the collapse of the Baath regime, the Israeli military has carried out more than 1,000 airstrikes on Syrian territory, conducting over 400 raids during this period.
The recent activity in Syrian airspace is considered likely to further escalate the existing security tensions in the region.
