The Russian military targeted an apartment building in Kharkiv with a guided bomb. The attack injured 10 people, including a 13-year-old child. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized in a social media post that Ukraine needs more international assistance to stop such attacks. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov also noted that children were among the injured.
Drone Strike in Chernihiv: Three Lives Lost
In Chernihiv, a Russian drone strike killed two adults and a child. The attack targeted a gas-carrying truck, also injuring four others, including two children. This tragic incident once again highlights the severe toll on civilians in the region.
Ukraine’s 113 Drone Attacks on Russia
In retaliation, Ukraine launched 113 drone attacks on Russian soil. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that these attacks took place in the regions of Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, and Bryansk, with Russian air defense systems shooting down many of the drones. It was reported that 73 drones were destroyed in Belgorod, 25 in Voronezh, 14 in Kursk, and 1 in Bryansk.
