A private jet crashed near Pitt-Greenville Airport in North Carolina, resulting in the deaths of both passengers on board.
Plane Descended Rapidly, No Survivors
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that two people were on the aircraft and that there were no survivors. Eyewitnesses reported that the plane descended rapidly before crashing. However, the cause of the accident has yet to be determined.
NTSB and FAA Investigating the Incident
Officials from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the FAA were dispatched to the crash site to investigate. Authorities identified the aircraft as a Beechcraft Bonanza, a single-engine plane introduced in 1947 with a capacity of six passengers, commonly used for both private and commercial flights.
Another Aviation Incident in the US on the Same Day
On the same day, another aviation incident occurred in the US. At Denver International Airport in Colorado, an American Airlines passenger plane was evacuated due to a fire. Six people were taken to hospital as a result of the incident.
