Two passenger aircraft belonging to Japan Airlines collided with each other during taxiing at Tokyo Haneda Airport. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries in the incident, and the flight was canceled.
The incident occurred around 07:30 local time when flight 503, carrying 328 passengers and crew, collided with an empty aircraft while taxiing from Terminal 1 at Tokyo Haneda Airport.
According to the airline’s statement, the collision resulted in material damage, and the flight was canceled. Following the damage to the two Airbus A350-900 aircraft, a detailed investigation was launched.
This incident follows previous airplane accidents in Japan. On January 2nd, an aircraft belonging to Japan Airlines collided with a Japan Coast Guard aircraft during landing, resulting in the loss of five personnel. On January 16th, a passenger aircraft belonging to Cathay Pacific collided with another aircraft belonging to Korean Air at New Chitose Airport. Fortunately, there were no injuries in that accident.
