After Montenegro suspended its visa-free entry policy for Turkish citizens, Turkish Airlines (THY) has adjusted capacity on its Istanbul–Podgorica flights.
According to information obtained from the company, as of 17 November 2025, the number of flights on the Istanbul–Podgorica route will be reduced. Previously planned as 18 flights per week, the frequency will be lowered to 14 weekly flights — two per day — starting from that date.
Additionally, during the week of 24–30 November, capacity will be further reduced, with the number of weekly flights decreasing from 18 to 10.
The adjustments have currently been entered into THY’s flight planning system until 1 January 2026. However, it was stated that further changes may be made in the future depending on passenger demand and diplomatic developments.
Recently, the Montenegrin government announced a temporary suspension of visa-free entry for Turkish citizens, a decision that has affected travel plans between the two countries.
