Meetings with more than 150 financial institutions: $9 billion Japan financing emphasized
Turkish Airlines, in order to strengthen financial collaborations in an increasingly competitive global aviation environment, held comprehensive investor meetings in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. During the talks held between 20–22 April, the company’s sustainable growth strategy and future projections were shared with the international financial community.

Intensive Financial Diplomacy in Tokyo
The meetings, led by THY Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker, were also attended by the company’s financial management.
Within the program, contacts were made with numerous financial institutions, primarily BNP Paribas, Development Bank of Japan, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
In addition, through SMFL, ORIX Corporation, and Japan Leasing Corporation, one-on-one meetings were held with more than 150 Japanese equity investors and financial institutions.

$9 Billion Financing in 20 Years
Turkish Airlines emphasized that Japan is a strategic financial hub for the company, stating that approximately $9 billion in funds have been secured from the country over the last 20 years, and that more than 100 aircraft have been financed with these resources.

Confidence Message in Global Brand Strength
In the meetings, the company’s financial strength, sustainable growth vision, and future plans were conveyed to investors. THY management emphasized that they will continue to generate added value on a global scale and sustain their success story.
The high level of investor interest also confirmed Turkish Airlines’ strong perception of trust in international financial markets.

Seniority Ceremony at Tokyo Office
Within the scope of the program, THY’s Tokyo office was also visited. Here, seniority badges were presented to 4 employees who have been serving for more than 10 years. The company emphasized that employees’ dedication is one of the most important building blocks of success.
THY Strengthens Its Global Position Through Financial Power
Competition in aviation is shaped not only by operational capacity but also by strong financing networks. Turkish Airlines’ long-term relationship with Japan-based financial institutions remains one of the most critical pillars of the company’s growth strategy.
The Tokyo contacts once again demonstrated the confidence of Asian financial markets in THY, strengthening the company’s position in global aviation as a “steadily growing and reliable carrier.” Such large-scale investor meetings also lay the groundwork for new aircraft financing and fleet expansion steps in the coming period.
