THY’s Global Strength Once Again Confirmed by TIM Awards

Turkish Airlines (THY) once again confirmed its leadership in service exports at the Champions of Export Awards Ceremony organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). While THY became the company generating the highest foreign currency income for Türkiye with $24.1 billion in revenue in 2025, its subsidiaries SunExpress and AJet also succeeded in ranking among the top 10 companies in service exports.

Turkish Airlines (THY) once again reinforced its leadership in service exports at the Champions of Export Awards Ceremony organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade. The national flag carrier, which generated $24.1 billion in revenue in 2025, received the award as the company generating the highest foreign currency income for Türkiye. Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of THY, received the award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

THY Maintained Its Leadership in Service Exports

Speaking after the award ceremony, Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker emphasized that Turkish Airlines had maintained its strong financial performance despite uncertainties in the global economy.

Şeker stated that with $24.1 billion in revenue generated in 2025, THY maintained its leading position in Türkiye’s service exports, adding that becoming the company generating the highest foreign currency income for the country was a significant result of its sustainable growth strategy.

Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker made the following remarks in his statement:

“Despite global challenges and unpredictable economic developments, we maintained our leading position in our country’s service exports with the financial success we achieved in 2025. With $24.1 billion in revenue, we became the company generating the highest foreign currency inflow for Türkiye.”

SunExpress and AJet Also Ranked Among the Top 10

Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker stated that THY’s subsidiaries, SunExpress and AJet, also ranked among Türkiye’s top 10 most successful companies in the service exports category.

Şeker noted that this achievement demonstrated the total contribution of the Turkish Airlines Group to service exports, adding that the value created by the aviation sector for the Turkish economy continues to increase every year.

Emphasis on Contributing to the 2028 Export Targets

Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of THY, drew attention to Türkiye’s export targets of $375 billion in merchandise exports and $200 billion in service exports by 2028, stating that the national flag carrier would continue contributing to these goals.

Şeker said that while THY continues its global expansion, it will also continue supporting Türkiye’s economic objectives and will keep leveraging the international strength of the flag carrier brand to create value for the country’s economy.

The Global Success Story Continues to Grow

At the end of his statement, Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker thanked the relevant ministries, especially President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and congratulated all Turkish Airlines employees and exporters who have contributed to the airline’s global success story.
