Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker met with employees at the AJet Headquarters and the Sabiha Gökçen Airport campus. Highlighting AJet’s operational success and employee satisfaction as it reached 100 destinations across 35 countries in two years, Şeker stated that the company has become an important part of the THY ecosystem.
In a post shared on his social media account, Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker announced that he visited the AJet Headquarters building and the Sabiha Gökçen Airport campus, where he met with employees. During the visit, Şeker also met with Sabiha Gökçen Airport Civil Administrative Chief Halil Avşar and stated that they evaluated AJet’s growth performance, operational success, and future goals.
“AJet Has Demonstrated Strong Growth in a Short Time”
Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker stated that AJet, which has only recently completed its second year of operations, has achieved significant development in a short period.
Şeker noted that the company has launched 56 new routes in 19 countries within two years and now operates flights to 100 destinations in 35 countries, emphasizing that the fleet continues to be strengthened with next-generation aircraft.
“AJet has become an important success story within the Turkish Airlines ecosystem,” said Şeker, adding that the company continues to grow in a sustainable manner.
“Success Cannot Be Measured Solely by Financial Results”
Şeker emphasized that the success of an airline cannot be evaluated solely based on financial performance, stating that flight safety, employee satisfaction, and guest experience are among the most important criteria.
In his post, Şeker said:
“An airline being financially successful alone is not the sole criterion for success. What makes an airline successful is prioritizing flight safety and ensuring the satisfaction of its employees and guests. Fortunately, we have an AJet that is successful in all three areas.”
AJet Continues to Receive International Awards
Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker also highlighted AJet’s achievements on the international stage.
Recalling that the airline was awarded the “Four-Star Low-Cost Airline” title by APEX for two consecutive years, Şeker noted that AJet was also recently included in the “Türkiye’s Happiest Workplaces” list under the Happy Place to Work program.
Şeker emphasized that this success is driven by the dedication, hard work, and commitment of employees working both in the air and on the ground.
