TAAC Aviation Technologies, a prominent player in Turkey’s defense and aviation sectors, has signed its first overseas contract with EDGE Group (ADASI), the largest defense and aviation company group in the United Arab Emirates.
Established in 2019 through a partnership between Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) and Altınay Defense Technologies, TAAC aims to reduce dependency on foreign sources and enhance national strength in defense and aviation by taking strategic steps to become a leading player in the global market.
By exporting domestically developed flight control system actuators, landing gears, and critical test systems through the contract with EDGE Group, one of the leading defense and aviation company groups in the United Arab Emirates, TAAC has made a significant move in its export strategy.
Enis Ata, the General Manager of TAAC, stated in his remarks that with the start of the project signed with EDGE Group, TAAC’s brand value will be solidified in the global market, particularly in the Middle East. Ata also emphasized their goal to increase their export share and strengthen their position on a global scale in line with TAAC’s evolving capabilities.
Highlighting Turkey’s significance in the defense industry, Ata mentioned that Turkey is among the few countries capable of developing a 5th generation fighter jet. He expressed TAAC’s commitment to continue offering Turkey’s capabilities to customers globally. Additionally, he stated that TAAC aims to expand its overseas activities to enhance Turkey’s expertise and influence in the defense industry.
