STARLUX Airlines has taken delivery of its first aircraft as part of its total order for 18 Airbus A350-1000s. With this delivery, the airline has earned the distinction of becoming the 11th global operator to add the Airbus A350-1000 to its fleet.
The new A350-1000 will join STARLUX’s existing fleet of 10 A350-900 aircraft, which are currently in service on long-haul premium flights from Taipei to Europe and North America. The aircraft will also operate on selected destinations within the Asia-Pacific region.
Along with the delivery, STARLUX unveiled a striking new exterior livery for the aircraft. Visual elements reflecting the airline’s corporate identity were combined with carbon fibre motifs symbolising the advanced composite materials used in the aircraft’s construction. The prominent “1000” marking on the fuselage highlights that the A350-1000 is Airbus’s largest aircraft currently in production and underscores its positioning as the new flagship of the STARLUX fleet.
A New Boost to the All-Airbus Fleet
STARLUX Airlines operates an all-Airbus fleet consisting of A321neo, A330-900 and A350-900 aircraft. With the addition of the A350-1000, the airline aims to further strengthen its long-haul operations.
Meanwhile, STARLUX has also placed an order for 10 A350F freighter aircraft to support its future cargo operations.
A350: The New-Generation Widebody Standard
The Airbus A350 is regarded as one of the world’s most modern widebody aircraft, setting new standards for intercontinental travel. Thanks to its advanced aerodynamic design, new-generation engines and lightweight composite materials, it offers approximately a 25% improvement in fuel consumption, operating costs and CO₂ emissions compared with previous-generation aircraft.
The A350’s spacious and comfortable Airspace cabin enhances the passenger experience with high ceilings, wider seats and advanced ambient lighting.
Like all Airbus aircraft, the A350 can operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Airbus aims to achieve 100% SAF compatibility by 2030.
As of the end of November 2025, the A350 family had received approximately 1,500 orders from 66 customers worldwide.
