A Moroccan Royal Armed Forces Alfa Jet military training aircraft crashed today near the city of Fez, east of the capital Rabat. The two officers on board one a major, the other a captain were reported dead.
The accident occurred near Fez Sais Airport. According to a written statement from the Moroccan military, the cause of the crash has not yet been determined. A committee of experts has been formed to investigate all aspects of the incident.
Authorities strongly urge the public to rely solely on official statements until the investigation is complete.
