In the summer of 2025, Lufthansa will introduce scheduled Airbus A380 flights to Denver, marking the first time the airline deploys its superjumbo to Colorado’s capital. The inaugural flight is set for 30 April 2025, making Denver Lufthansa’s sixth destination served by the A380.
A daily flight from Munich to Denver International Airport, situated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, is planned. Flight LH480 will depart Munich at 11:15 AM and arrive in Denver at 1:45 PM local time. The return flight will leave Denver at 4:15 PM and arrive in Munich the following day at 10:50 AM.
A First for Denver: The Airbus A380
Lufthansa’s Airbus A380 service to Denver is a milestone not only for the airline but also for Denver International Airport. Commenting on the development, Lufthansa Airlines CCO Heiko Reitz stated:
“The Airbus A380’s service to Denver is a first for both Lufthansa and the airport itself. It is the first time an aircraft of this size will operate a scheduled service there. Passengers, airport visitors, and crew members alike love the A380 for its unique flying experience and sense of spaciousness. Additionally, the A380 offers more premium seats than any other aircraft.”
Spacious and Luxurious Travel with the A380
Lufthansa’s fleet includes eight Airbus A380s, each with a capacity of 509 seats. These aircraft will be based in Munich during the summer season. The cabin layout is as follows:
- First Class: 8 seats
- Business Class: 78 seats
- Premium Economy: 52 seats
- Economy Class: 371 seats
In addition to Denver, Lufthansa’s A380 network includes destinations such as New York (JFK), Boston, Washington, Los Angeles, and Delhi.
A Longstanding Commitment to Denver
Lufthansa has been serving Denver with direct flights from Munich for nine years and from Frankfurt for 25 years. In the summer of 2025, Lufthansa will operate four daily flights to Denver: two from Munich and two from Frankfurt.
