Baykar–Leonardo Partnership Makes Headlines in Europe: “The Ferraris of Drones”
Turkey’s leading defence company Baykar has made a major impact in Europe through its strategic partnership with Italy’s aerospace giant Leonardo. Panorama, one of Italy’s most prestigious weekly magazines, featured the collaboration on its cover.

In its report, Panorama quoted Leonardo executive Fabio Pauluzzo, who described the drones to be produced with Baykar technology as “the Ferraris of drones.” The article highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership, noting that the Ronchi dei Legionari facility will serve as the headquarters of the Baykar–Leonardo initiative.
A Gateway to the European Defence Market
According to Panorama, the new facility will directly target the European defence market, valued at around $100 billion. Final assembly of TB3 drones will also take place at this factory.
