Kerem Sarp announced: AJet accelerated its international expansion, launching 18 new routes in just one week.

As part of its international growth strategy, AJet introduced a total of 18 new international routes from Bodrum, Ankara, and Istanbul in just one week. CEO Kerem Sarp stated that the new routes aim to contribute to Türkiye’s tourism potential and strengthen its international air transportation network.

AJet’s International Expansion: 18 New International Routes Launched in One Week

AJet CEO Kerem Sarp announced that the airline has launched a total of 18 new international routes from Bodrum, Ankara, and Istanbul over the past week as part of its goal to expand international operations. Sarp stated that the new destinations provide passengers with more travel options while also contributing to Türkiye’s tourism and aviation objectives.

Bodrum Became AJet’s Third Operational Base for the Summer Season

Kerem Sarp stated that, following Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Ankara Esenboğa Airport, Milas-Bodrum Airport has also been added to the airline’s operational network for the summer season.

Sarp noted that, as part of the new plan aimed at bringing tourists from Europe to Türkiye, Bodrum has been connected to 14 different European cities through direct flights, emphasizing that this step will make a significant contribution to regional tourism.

Ankara’s International Flight Network Continues to Expand

Sarp stated that AJet continues to strengthen the Turkish capital’s international connectivity and announced that, following Moscow, St. Petersburg has been added as the airline’s second destination in Russia.

Ankara–St. Petersburg Flights to Operate Five Times a Week

Sarp stated that the Ankara–St. Petersburg flights, which commenced on July 1, 2026, will operate five round-trip frequencies per week, adding that the new route will enhance the capital’s international accessibility.

New Direct Flights to the Balkans and Egypt

AJet has also expanded its Balkan operations from Ankara. The airline operated its first direct flight to Sarajevo on July 1 and its inaugural direct flight to Skopje on July 2.

With the new routes, reciprocal flights between Ankara and Sarajevo, as well as Skopje, will operate twice a week. As a result, AJet has further strengthened its flight network across the Balkans.

Meanwhile, the Alexandria route, one of AJet’s new international destinations from Istanbul, was launched on June 29. Flights to Alexandria, one of Egypt’s major port cities, will operate three times a week.

“International Growth Is Our Strategic Priority”

AJet CEO Kerem Sarp stated that international expansion is one of the company’s core strategic objectives and made the following remarks:

“We see international growth as a strategic priority and continue to connect our guests with new destinations. We are proud to have launched a total of 18 new international routes from Bodrum, Ankara, and Istanbul within just one week.”

Sarp stated that the newly launched international routes are expected to contribute to Türkiye’s tourism, cultural interaction, and commercial relations, and wished success for the new destinations.
