According to U.S. officials, an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet operating over Iran was shot down. The incident has been recorded as the first American aircraft downed by Iran in the ongoing five-week war.

During the U.S. search and rescue operations, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was targeted by ground fire. It was stated that the helicopter safely left the area despite the attack.
In verified footage shared on social media, U.S. helicopters and a C-130 aircraft were seen flying at low altitude over Iran.
Second Aircraft Down in the Gulf: A-10 Pilot Rescued
U.S. officials also announced that an A-10 Warthog attack aircraft crashed near the Strait of Hormuz around the same time. It was reported that the pilot was rescued alive.
The Iranian side claimed that its air defense systems shot down the A-10, while the U.S. did not provide clear information regarding the cause of the crash.

The conflict is no longer limited to Iran alone. Iran continues its attacks on U.S.-allied Gulf countries:
