Emirates NBD, the leading banking group in the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye (MENAT) region, has taken a critical digital transformation step with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the federal body overseeing aviation activities in the United Arab Emirates. Under the new partnership, the parties have implemented a Host-to-Host (H2H) payment solution with advanced security standards specifically designed for the aviation sector.
As part of this initiative, GCAA will work closely with Emirates NBD to establish a fully secure, structured, and automated digital payment framework for all the authority’s customers, suppliers, and business partners, both within the UAE and globally.
Developed by Emirates NBD’s Transaction Banking Services department, the H2H platform provides a robust technological infrastructure that supports GCAA’s strategies focused on digital innovation, paperless processing, and zero bureaucracy. The system eliminates the need for manual procedures, streamlining and safeguarding all stages of the payment cycle for GCAA’s extensive supplier ecosystem.
The new partnership was launched after comprehensive planning, testing, and preparation conducted by payment and system experts from Emirates NBD and GCAA. This integration will enable the Authority to achieve new levels of efficiency in critical operations that support the growth of the UAE aviation sector.
