FAA Holiday Alert: November 25 to Be the Busiest Day

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is preparing for the busiest holiday travel period in 15 years, with over 52,000 flights scheduled on Thanksgiving Day, November 25. The FAA is ready to manage air traffic safely and efficiently.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has completed preparations to ensure passengers travel safely and smoothly during the Thanksgiving holiday. The agency plans to manage over 360,000 flights reaching their destinations throughout the holiday period.

The FAA expects this travel season to be the busiest holiday in 15 years. In particular, Tuesday, November 25, will be the year’s busiest day with over 52,000 flights.

FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford said:

“Thanks to the dedication of our air traffic controllers and all FAA staff, we are ready for the holiday rush and proud to help passengers reach their friends and family during this important time of year. The FAA advised all passengers to check airport and flight information before traveling and to arrive early to account for potential delays.
