According to a statement from TUSAŞ, another significant milestone has been achieved in the ANKA III project, which was developed indigenously. ANKA III, Turkey’s first vertical-tailless turbofan engine unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), successfully completed its maiden flight.
The first flight of ANKA III lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes. It reached an altitude of 8,000 feet and a speed of 150 knots. ANKA III took off at 08:38 and performed a touch-and-go test during this flight. The flight of ANKA III was accompanied by the HÜRKUŞ basic training aircraft and the ANKA unmanned aerial vehicle, both developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries with local resources.
