IGA Istanbul Airport is the leader not only in passenger numbers but also in flight traffic. According to the European Aviation Report published by EUROCONTROL covering the period from July 7 to 13, 2025, Istanbul Airport was Europe’s busiest airport during that time, with an average of 1,612 daily flights.
With these numbers, Istanbul Airport surpassed the following key hubs:
