Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler continues his bilateral engagements at full speed during the IDEF 2025 International Defence Industry Fair held in Istanbul. Throughout the fair, Minister Güler met with high-level representatives from various countries to discuss defence cooperation opportunities.

Güler held separate meetings with Senegal’s Minister of Armed Forces Birame Diop and the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Guy Kabongo Mwandiamvita. These meetings focused on exploring areas of cooperation in the field of defence.
Additionally, General Saddam Haftar, Commander of the Libyan National Army’s Ground Forces, was received by Minister Güler. The two discussed regional security issues during their meeting.

One of the most notable meetings at IDEF 2025 was with Azerbaijani Minister of Defence Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Mustafayev also attended the meeting. At the conclusion of the talks, a “Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Mutual Military Security” was signed, taking the military cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
