Turkish Airlines (THY) is preparing for a major recruitment drive in the coming years. Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr Ahmet Bolat announced that 50,000 new employees will be hired by 2033.
Speaking on CNN Türk, Bolat said, “We have nearly 100,000 employees. By 2033, we will expand our fleet to 813 aircraft. In line with this growth, our number of employees will reach 150,000.”
Thousands of New Recruits Each Year
To achieve the 2033 targets, an average of 6,250 new employees will be hired each year. Recruitment will cover cabin crew, pilots, technicians, flight instructors, engineers, ground services personnel, call centre staff, IT specialists, and various support positions.
Turkish Airlines subsidiaries—Turkish Ground Services (TGS), Turkish Technic, THY DO & CO, and the Turkish Airlines Flight Academy—will also implement new employment projects in their respective fields.
Current Open Positions
Currently, recruitment continues for flight instructors, cabin crew, technicians, and engineers, as well as for workers in Turkish Airlines subsidiaries. In the near future, hiring is also planned among candidates with at least a primary school education.
