UK-based airline British Airways has taken a significant step to strengthen business and trade relations between India and the United Kingdom. In a statement shared on social media, the company expressed great satisfaction in supporting the official trade delegation titled “Britain Means Business”, which transported Prime Minister Keir Starmer, senior ministers, and leading British CEOs to India.
The announcement reaffirmed British Airways’ commitment to India and revealed plans to launch a third daily flight between Delhi and London Heathrow in 2026. The new route is expected to commence service following regulatory and capacity approvals.
Additionally, the airline announced that it will resume its First cabin service on the Mumbai–London route later this month and introduce Club Suite cabins on selected flights across its five routes in India by the end of 2026.
British Airways officials emphasised that this initiative aims not only to strengthen economic ties between the UK and India but also to offer passengers greater comfort and choice.
