Antalya Airport attracted attention in 2025 with a performance that did not limit passenger traffic solely to the summer season. One of Türkiye’s tourism showcases, the airport served more than 1 million passengers in December and completed the year with a total of 39,160,491 passengers.
According to data announced by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ), 1,075,275 passengers used Antalya Airport in December 2025. Of these passengers, 503,419 were on domestic flights, while 571,856 were international passengers. During the same period, total aircraft traffic at the airport was recorded as 8,300 movements.
Intense Aircraft and Cargo Traffic Also During Winter Months
In December, 4,015 of the landing and departing aircraft were on domestic routes, while 4,285 were on international routes. Cargo traffic (cargo, mail and baggage) reached 11,538 tonnes. The data revealed that Antalya maintained its high air transport capacity during the winter season as well.
Looking at the year as a whole, total aircraft traffic at Antalya Airport reached 240,129 movements, while cargo traffic amounted to 466,130 tonnes. The predominantly international passenger profile once again confirmed the city’s strong position in international tourism.
“Not Seasonal, but an Airport Active for 12 Months”
Experts point out that exceeding the 1 million passenger threshold during the winter months is a critical indicator for Antalya’s off-season tourism targets. With the increase in international flights, it is emphasised that Antalya Airport is no longer dependent solely on the summer season, but has become an active and strategic air transport hub throughout the entire year.
