AJet Offers Second Officers the Opportunity to Become Captains

Turkey’s youngest airline, AJet, is offering its second officers (first officers) the chance to be promoted to captain as part of its expanding fleet. The company has launched a dedicated program covering written exams, interviews, and flight training.

Having completed its inaugural flight on March 31, AJet will assign second officers who successfully complete this training program as captain pilots. Unlike most captain training in the aviation sector, which is usually fee-based, AJet provides this program free of charge; however, pilots who join must commit to working with the airline for three years after achieving captaincy.

With its innovative human resources practices, AJet aims through this initiative to both strengthen its cockpit team and enhance in-house career development opportunities.
