AJet’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft operating the Pristina – Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport service, flight number VF102, veered off the taxiway onto soft ground after landing, following severe rainfall in Istanbul.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on Sunday, 7 December. The aircraft, which departed from Pristina, made a safe landing on the new runway of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After its safe landing, while the aircraft began taxiing, it skidded due to the heavy rainfall and veered onto soft ground.
Passengers safely evacuated
Following the incident, the cabin crew and ground services teams intervened swiftly. All passengers were safely disembarked without any issues.
