Panic Over Sudden Braking on AJet’s Elazığ-Ankara Flight: Takeoff Halted Due to Bird Obstruction

An AJet flight from Elazığ to Ankara performed an emergency braking maneuver during takeoff. Passengers panicked after birds were spotted in the takeoff area. The flight was carried out after technical inspections, with a delay.

AJet Airlines’ flight VF4171 from Elazığ to Ankara caused brief panic when the aircraft performed an emergency braking maneuver during takeoff. The Airbus A320, registered TC-JTV, aborted takeoff after accelerating on the runway and returned to its parking position.

Following the incident, cabin crew made announcements to inform the passengers. The announcement explained that a flock of birds had been spotted in the takeoff zone, posing a safety risk.

Passengers Disembarked, Technical Inspection Initiated

AJet officials, as a precaution, disembarked passengers and brought them back to the terminal. A detailed technical inspection of the aircraft was launched to rule out any potential technical malfunctions.

After the inspection was completed, the flight crew confirmed that safety had been ensured and passengers were invited back on board. Flight VF4171 departed later than scheduled.
