SunExpress has introduced an impressive initiative within its ‘Job Tasting’ project, which allows employees to gain experience in different roles. Having previously worked as a cabin crew member and in ground services, SunExpress CEO Max Kownatzki this time spent a day at Antalya Airport as part of the technical staff.

The project, launched two years ago, has so far enabled around 400 employees to take on roles in different departments and experience operational processes. CEO Kownatzki joined the technical team on the apron, participating in final aircraft checks before flights.

Kownatzki shared his experience with the following words:

“After my Job Tasting experiences in Cabin and Ground Operations, I have now completed a day with our Technical unit as well. I realised that this job requires much more attention, expertise, and teamwork than it may appear from the outside. Our technical team carries great responsibility as the ‘surgeons of aviation’, ensuring the safety of every flight.”

Through the Job Tasting project, SunExpress aims both to strengthen bonds among employees and to enhance internal communication within the company.
