Turkish Airlines Launches Indigenous Talent Testing System PACE
Turkish Airlines (THY) has unveiled the new talent testing system, PACE, developed entirely with domestic resources in collaboration with Istanbul University and THY Technology and IT Inc. The system, which began being used in pilot candidate evaluation processes as of February 18, 2025, marks a strategic milestone in aviation.
A Domestic Assessment System for Pilot Candidates
The PACE system, implemented by Turkish Airlines, offers pilot candidates a nationalised content structure and high-security data management during selection processes. Through the system:
-
All data is securely stored on THY’s own resources.
-
Candidate evaluation capacity is significantly increased.
-
The developed algorithm can generate trillions of different question sets.
With these features, PACE stands out as a technology providing a competitive advantage not only in Turkey but also on an international scale.
A Strategic Building Block
THY emphasized that PACE is more than just a testing system; it is a strategic building block contributing to Turkey’s aviation vision.
The project was realised through the joint efforts of THY Human Resources Assessment Center Directorate, Recruitment Teams, Flight Operations Deputy General Management stakeholders, and Turkish Technology managers and staff.
The management of Turkish Airlines extended its gratitude to all team members who contributed to the project.
