Turkey-Pakistan Aviation Cooperation Deepens: THY and PIA Take New Steps

Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman of the Board, Ahmet Bolat, hosted the CEO of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Muhammad Amir Hayat, and his accompanying delegation at the General Management Building. During the meeting, existing and potential collaborations in the aviation sector between the two countries were discussed.

Close Cooperation in Aviation with Pakistan

THY has been operating flights to Pakistan since 1981 and currently serves three destinations in the country. Additionally, THY and PIA have a comprehensive codeshare agreement in place.

During the meeting with the delegation, discussions focused on further strengthening the strong historical ties between Turkey and Pakistan, evaluating current opportunities in the aviation sector, and exploring potential future partnerships.

Technical Support and Cabin Interior Renewal Discussions

The Pakistani delegation also met with Turkish Technic and TCI Cabin Interior Systems, subsidiaries of THY. The discussions particularly revolved around upgrading cabin interior products for aircraft in the PIA fleet.

Ahmet Bolat expressed his gratitude to Muhammad Amir Hayat and all members of the Pakistani delegation for their kind visit and reaffirmed THY’s commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries.
