Turkish Airlines has expanded its operations on the Istanbul–Düsseldorf route by launching its fifth scheduled daily flight. The new service will provide passengers with greater flexibility, particularly for connections from Europe to Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
THY Strengthens Its Düsseldorf Flight Network
Turkish Airlines (THY) continues to expand its operations in the German market. The flag carrier has increased the number of scheduled flights between Istanbul and Düsseldorf to five daily frequencies, adding new capacity to meet the growing passenger demand between the two countries. The new service will provide significant advantages for both direct travelers and passengers connecting to different continents via Istanbul Airport.

Fifth Daily Flight Begins on the Istanbul–Düsseldorf Route
With the introduction of Turkish Airlines’ new scheduled service, the number of daily flights on the Istanbul–Düsseldorf route has increased to five. The additional capacity aims to manage the heavy passenger traffic between Türkiye and Germany more efficiently.
The new frequency strengthens air transportation between the two countries and is also considered one of the key steps in THY’s growth strategy for its European operations.
Stronger Global Connections via Istanbul Airport
The new flight schedule has been designed to align with Istanbul Airport’s overnight connection bank. As a result, passengers departing from Düsseldorf will be able to reach numerous destinations across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas with shorter connection times through Turkish Airlines’ extensive flight network.
This arrangement aims to optimize connection times for international transit passengers, enhancing the overall travel experience.

Cooperation Between THY and Düsseldorf Airport Grows Stronger
The launch of the fifth daily flight further strengthens the long-standing cooperation between Turkish Airlines and Düsseldorf Airport.
The new capacity increase enhances Düsseldorf Airport’s international connectivity while also standing out as a significant development supporting THY’s position as a global aviation hub.
