The Kosovo Police today announced to the public a tragic incident that occurred yesterday at Pristina International Airport. According to available information, a Swiss national passenger suddenly became unwell while waiting for his flight to Switzerland.
Medical teams at the airport immediately intervened, but despite all efforts, the passenger could not be saved.
Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the deceased but stated that the body was sent to the Pristina Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy. It was reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The Kosovo Police stated that details regarding the cause of death will become clear after the autopsy report is completed.
