Boeing Sets July Delivery Record Since 2017

US-based aircraft manufacturer Boeing delivered a total of 48 aircraft in July. Although this represents a decline compared to June’s 60 deliveries, it is an increase of 5 aircraft compared to the same month last year. This marks Boeing’s highest number of July deliveries since 2017.

Among the deliveries, 37 were 737 MAX aircraft, with 20 going to leasing companies and 17 to airlines. Additionally, 8 787 Dreamliners, 2 777 freighters, and 1 767 freighter were delivered.

However, Boeing continues to lag behind its European rival Airbus in 2025 deliveries. Airbus delivered 67 jets in July, bringing its year-to-date total to 373 deliveries, while Boeing delivered 328 aircraft during the same period. In the critical single-aisle segment, Airbus delivered 286 A320neo family jets, compared to Boeing’s 243 737 MAX deliveries.

Increase in Orders

Boeing received 31 gross orders in July, 30 of which were for the 737 MAX and 1 for the 787. With previously tentative orders reconfirmed, 33 aircraft returned to the order book, resulting in 63 net orders for the month. Although Iraq canceled an order for 1 787, Boeing still holds 7 orders for the type.

Year-to-date, Boeing has recorded 328 jet deliveries and 739 net orders. After adjusting according to US accounting standards, the company’s order book now stands at 5,968 aircraft.

Production and Targets

Boeing is working to stabilise production after quality and safety issues arose following a 737 MAX panel detachment incident in January 2024. Airbus aims to deliver 820 jets by the end of the year, while Boeing has not yet announced its annual delivery target.
